Steps
Get a good night's sleep the night before so you can stay up late.
Ask in advance what activities you will be doing. If you'll be swimming, bring a swimsuit. If you'll be doing makeovers, bring your nail polish.
Use a duffel bag or backpack to pack all the things you need. See the "Things You'll Need" section below for the list of items you'll want to pack.
Leave for the host's or hostess' house. Depending on whether there are any planned activities and how tight your schedule is you will probably be able to arrive a few minutes late.
While at the sleepover the most important thing to do is have fun!
Thank your host or hostess as you leave.
] Tips
Never be afraid to speak up and ask or tell the host something. (Ex. "Does this have nuts in it?" )
If you have an early morning activity the next morning or don't want to spend the night for whatever reason you can always leave early. Make up an excuse and prearrange when your parents should pick you up.
If you know a good game or a joke, speak up.
You may want to bring an extra pillow (the blow-up kind)in case you find there isn't enough pillows.
If the party gets a little slow, play fun games like Truth or Dare, Would You Rather, or tell ghost stories and do make-overs!
Planning ahead always helps. Also, one rule for sleepovers is no whining, and don't be mean to the person because they invited you. Otherwise, just have fun, and remember all the good times you had!
Also if you fell homesick at night and you want to go home, try to think of tomorrow and what you guys will do or a prank you will pull on a person at the sleep over.
Warnings
A lot of people get excited at sleepovers and say things they regret later. Keep things in perspective and don't bring something up if you don't want to talk about it.
If you know you get easily homesic, tell the host in advance that you'll need to call your parents before you go to bed and maybe in the morning.
Don't forget if you need to take any medicine. Sometimes your having so much fun you forget all about it and if its important that's something you defiantly want to remember and tell the host/hostess so they remember to.
